Unitarian Universalist Principles...
Our Mission:
It is the mission of the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship to grow as a diverse community with differing beliefs and shared values. We seek to encourage spiritual growth and to strive for compassion, justice and responsible action in our society and on our planet.
What we stand for:
Ours is a faith without creed, dogma or threats of eternal punishment or promises of eternal bliss. Yet we are a demanding faith, one that calls on the power of our minds, our hearts and our hands to create a better world. Our tradition has been forged out of commitment to principles that nurture religious growth.
The principles we believe in and work toward:
- Respect for the inherent worth and dignity of every person
- Justice, equity and compassion in human relations
- Acceptance of one another and encouragement to grow spiritually
- A free and responsible search for truth and meaning
- The right of conscience within the democratic process
- The goal of world community with peace, liberty and justice for all
- Respect for the interdependent web of all existence
